Description:
Agile Estimate is a great little tool for software developers, testers and product managers who work in Agile environments.
Agile is a group of software development methodologies based on iterative development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organising cross-functional teams.
Agile methodologies break tasks into 'Stories', which are written to develop or enhance functionality. These must be planned and their effort estimated so that teams can keep track of their progress.
Team members use a series of cards representing a number of 'points' - how much effort is required on a given story related to other stories. After a count of 3, all team members reveal their card. The idea is to get a consensus on the effort required for each story.
This is where Agile Estimate comes in. Rather than using a set of physical cards, use your iPhone or iPod touch instead!
Just select a card, hold your device up and tap on the screen to show your choice. (Tap again to hide it.)
Agile Estimate features a standard set of cards, including: 0, 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 40, 100, pi, infinity, ? and a Coffee Break card to signify you want a break in the estimation process.
It's a simple app, and it's totally free.
Oh, if you don't like the card background, shake your device while it's showing.
