Research in Motion put up the U2 Mobile Album page over on BlackBerry.com come some time ago, but, has been pretty quiet about when the album would debut ever since.  Mobilesyrup.com thinks that the U2 Mobile Album will come out this Saturday, Sep. 12th, coinciding with with the kickoff of the American leg of U2’s global tour in Chicago.

I think that I am inclined to agree…

From the sounds of it the U2 Mobile Album is more than just an album and will include some type of BlackBerry App:

In the teaser video it looked like they will also be including some sort of App that will work with the GPS in your Berry to locate the band, your friends, and anyone else that has a Berry.  Also you’ll be able to share and watch videos, share images, get news and updates.

There is still a question as to whether the U2 Mobile Album will come out on Saturday or not.  I doubt, however, that there is a question to if it will be a hit or not when it does…
